When I press "turn off" button my laptop is shut down for 30 sec and then it restarts again as if I have pressed "restart". (Only happens when laptop is plug in). I`ve tried with Power options properties, but without result. What should I do?__

Hello montenegrina,Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers Community. It could be that it is set to restart automatically on system failure. Please follow the instruction below: Click the Start button, right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System Failure, view the Automatically restart check box. If the Automatically restart check box is selected, Windows automatically restarts if the computer stops unexpectedly. If you clear this check box and you receive an error message when the computer stops responding. You can also review the system log in Event Viewer to view the critical stop error that occurs when the computer restarts. Hi Chris,This is no the solution we need. This problem is driving me crazy. The only way I have to turn off my laptop is to remove the battery and disconnect the power. Otherwise, it runs down the battery and requires resetting the clock. It's a new laptop that worked find until I installed Windows 7. What is the solution?
